Finding the Music in Me
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/dancin/resources/lesson_plan-m1.html
Sounds, Stories, and Symbols: Finding the Music in Me : Grade Level: K-2
The lessons presented here represent a developmental sequence for the teaching and learning of musical expression. Activities are designed to address the creative potential of children as they progress from early childhood through adolescence.
Beginning with an awareness of self as music maker, children move to apprenticing with the various music making roles of the culture, and continue by critically examining music making as a function within larger social and historical contexts.

Humans as living things
http://www.digitalbrain.com/digitalbrain/web/subjects/1.%20primary/ks1sci/su2/mod2/
Your body is an amazing machine. To keep it working properly you need food, water and exercise. Food gives your body the energy to keep it going. The right food is important for a healthy body.
Sometimes you can become ill and your body needs some extra help to get better. A doctor may give you special medicines or pills that will help you fight off germs.
Like other animals, humans have a life cycle. We can make babies and these babies grow into children and then into adults. Babies continue the life cycle.

Ourselves (1a)
http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/schemes2/science/sci1a/?view=get
Through this unit children learn about their senses and how they can use them to explore the world around them. They also learn that humans and other animals move and grow. Experimental and investigative work focuses on: exploring and using senses observing and describing living things, and communicating what happened in their work. Within this unit there are opportunities for children to consider how to treat each other and other living things with care and sensitivity. This unit takes approximately 9 hours.
