How To : Visually Record Ideas Using an iPad
http://bit.ly/15sEPrQ
Visual recording is similar to audio recording: they both use the same concept that is : recording. One uses voice and the other uses visual cues like diagrams, charts, lines, arrows...etc. Think about visual recording as visual mind mapping.
Visual recording using your iPad is something you can best do via the help of some powerful apps. The video below will walk you through the process of how to capture your ideas visually on your iPad. It will also show you how to use each of the four apps suggested.
Visual Recording not (in this case) Visual Facilitation

Explain Everything X Google Drive = Awesome!

Explain Everything X Google Drive = Awesome!
With the recent update to Explain Everything, the app now directly interfaces with Google Drive. This connection allows students to create screencasts, upload them to Google Drive as either .mp4 or .xpl files.
Once uploaded they can be shared with the teacher through the Google Drive app, or they can be uploaded to a folder that has been created and shared ahead of time from the student to the teacher. To extended the process, the teacher now has the ability to download the .xpl files from Google Drive and “open in” Explain Everything.
This process allows the teacher to view the screencast and more importantly, add a slide with screencasted feedback.

Snaggy : paste images straight to the web
http://snag.gy/
Snaggy is an image host that lets you paste images from your clipboard directly online.
Any kind of image, from raw data to URL paths, can be pasted in one step.
Snaggy also has a simple built-in editor you can use before you share your image.
Sharing screenshots has always been a big hassle: you have to press print-screen, then paste it into an image editor, then save the image to your local hard drive, then browse for it and upload it.
This was always an annoyance for me, so I made snaggy to simplify the process into a single step. Since then it has saved me a lot of time, so I've made it public so that everyone can benefit from it.

Creating Cartoons and Screencasts to Convey Information
http://bit.ly/VrjpV9
Lesson Plan :Creating Cartoons and Screencasts to Convey Information
This “thing” called “Screencasting” will show students how to create “how to” demonstrations of their on-screen performance using free tools like Screencast-o-matic and Jing. In situations where students are not able to appear on-screen due to parent permission or AUP issues, cartoons and avatars are a workable substitute.
Students will be completing two Quests. The first includes creating a cartoon to convey ideas using WriteComics. The second Quests asks students to create a “how to” recording using Screencast-o-matic or another screenrecording tool. Students can use storyboards found at the Video Creation “thing” to script their ideas.

Screencasting for the Flipped Classroom on iPad with Doceri
http://doceri.com/blog/2012/07/whats-new-in-doceri-2-0/
Screencasting for the Flipped Classroom on iPad with Doceri
Doceri 2.0 builds on SP Controls’ original iPad-based interactive whiteboard software with the addition of audio/video screencasting so that teachers can easily capture their lesson presentations and share them with students before or after class – flipping the classroom so that class time can be primarily spent interacting with students rather than lecturing.
With Doceri’s exclusive timeline editor, teachers can create screencasts live as they present lessons, or they can create, edit and perfect their hand-drawn or annotated lessons first, then control the playback while the audio voiceover is recorded.
This is a significant advantage over basic iPad screencasting apps.

How To Record Movies of Video Games on the Computer

How To Record Movies of Video Games on the Computer
While you can record online Flash games or DOS games using any screencasting software, the situation gets a bit tricky when playing computer games that use DirectX 3D or OpenGL because they render only a blank footage with regular screen capture programs.
Fortunately, here are some good in-game video recording software that will record motion video in the background while you are playing your favorite PC game. Most of them support still image captures as well ....
