10 Minute Mail
http://10minutemail.com/
10 Minute Mail
By clicking on the link, you will be given a temporary e-mail address. Any e-mails sent to that address will show up automatically on the web page. You can read them, click on links, and even reply to them. The e-mail address will expire after 10 minutes.
Why would you use this? Maybe you want to sign up for a site which requires that you provide an e-mail address to send a validation e-mail to. And maybe you don't want to give up your real e-mail address and end up on a bunch of spam lists.
This is nice and disposable. And it's free. Enjoy!

Creating student accounts using one email account

Creating student accounts using one email account
Educators often don’t want their students to use their own email address for creating online accounts.
Unfortunately unique email addresses are important for password resets and deleting blogs.
The gmail+ method provides the solution! How it works is you create one gmail account for your class.

Creating Student Accounts Using One Gmail Account
When you set up blogs with multiple users the comment notifications are only sent to the email address that was used to set up the blog.
So if you’ve set up student blogs with your student’s email address using Edublogs Blog & User Creator feature comment notifications will be sent to your student. This is a problem if you wanted all comments sent to you for moderation.
Educators can use one Gmail account to set up student blogs or sign up for different online services using gmail’s support of plus addressing.
How this works is simple ...

The Elementary Email Solution

The Elementary Email Solution
One of my biggest stumbling blocks as I’ve switched gears from middle to elementary school is individual e-mail accounts for the students. Back in middle school, I could always count on every student having their own e-mail account. Even if, for some strange reason, one or two students didn’t have one, I could just ask them to sign up for one before the next class and it would be done. Alas, nothing is quite that easy at the elementary level….

Exim
http://www.exim.org/
Exim is a message transfer agent (MTA) developed at the University of Cambridge for use on Unix systems connected to the Internet.
It is freely available under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence. In style it is similar to Smail 3, but its facilities are more extensive, and in particular it has some defences against mail bombs and unsolicited junk mail in the form of options for refusing messages from particular hosts, networks, or senders.
It can be installed in place of sendmail, although the configuration of exim is quite different to that of sendmail.
Exim can be configured to allow users to set up filter files as an alternative to the traditional `.forward' files. A filter file can test various characteristics of a message, including the contents of the headers and the start of the body, and direct delivery to specified addresses, files, or pipes according to what it finds.
