The spreadsheet is based on the principle that the less you have to type in, the less likely you are to make mistakes -- and the more time you will save. The main feature for this is the Data Validation tool, which may be found in the Data menu. Use this to create, or refer to, a list of items so that all you have to do when using the spreadsheet is click on a drop-down menu to enter the data into a cell.
