Sars brings online learning deal

The government suspended elementary, high school and college classes in Hong Kong's 1,300 schools on March 29, as fears of the SARS epidemic spread. Some schools are scheduled to remain closed for at least another week. Consequently, Hong Kong Education City Limited, a government-funded entity that was already providing Web-based classes, began offering free use of its virtual classrooms, which use First Virtual's Web conferencing program, Click to Meet Express. |
