Service Children's Education (SCE) UK RAF
http://www.rafcom.co.uk/child_education/sce.cfm
Servicemen's children can face problems with their education because of frequent family moves. There are 4 ways to tackle this problem:
-Allow the children to travel around with you.
-Place the children in boarding school.
-Remain in one place with your children whilst your spouse moves around.
-A mix of the above.
Before making a choice you will have to consider many factors including: the ability and temperament of your children; their ability to cope in a different environment away from home; their health; your financial situation and the availability of appropriate schools or accommodation. As parents you will have detailed knowledge of these factors.

Department of Defence Education (USA)
http://www.odedodea.edu/
Shortly after the end of World War II, the United States military established schools for the children of its service men and women stationed in Europe and the Pacific. Schools for children of military members stationed at various bases in the United States were already well-established.
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is a civilian agency of the U.S. Department of Defense.
DoDEA operates 224 public schools in 21 districts located in 14 foreign countries, seven states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. All schools within DoDEA are fully accredited by U.S. accreditation agencies. Approximately 8,800 teachers serve DoDEA's 106,000 students.
The DoDEA instructional program provides a comprehensive prekindergarten through 12th grade curriculum that is competitive with that of any school system in the United States. DoDEA maintains a high school graduation rate of approximately 97%. The 3,066 graduating seniors in DoDEA's Class of 2001 earned more than $28 million in scholarships and grants.
