Piers Simon Appeal
http://www.pierssimonappeal.org Piers Simon Appeal Mission Statement : "To aid the regeneration of communities and to alleviate suffering and harship caused by disasters worldwide regardless of race, religion or politics". On 26th December 2004 whilst on holiday in Thailand on the island of Koh Phi Phi with Luke and three friends, Piers sadly died in the Tsunami. Luke spent five days conducting the search for his brother with the help of family, friends and the media and finally found Piers on 31st December 2004 ?his body having been taken to the Chinese Morgue in Krabi Town. Following a private funeral and a memorial service at Forde Abbey in Somerset the Piers Simon Appeal was launched. |
