A Review of the Fuctions and Contribution of Educational Psychologists in England and Wales in light of 'Every Child Matters: Change for Children' Research Information
The implementation of the Every Child Matters (ECM) legislation represents, for Educational Psychologists (EPs), the most significant national strategic development since the publication of the DfEE (2000) report on the role of educational psychology services. The ECM agenda makes outcomes for children central to integrated Children's Services that form a team around the child and family in the context of community and school.
The study focuses on the views of a range of stakeholders as to the distinctive contribution that EPs can make in the newly established childrens services where there is an increased emphasis on multi-agency working and on the facilities and barriers that may exist.

Special educational needs and disability: Towards inclusive schools
In 2003, Ofsted reported on good practice in catering for pupils with SEN in mainstream schools (see link on right-hand side).
This report examines the extent to which the inclusion framework has had an impact more generally on the capacity of schools to cater effectively for a wider range of needs.
