Photojournalism is one of five undergraduate sequences in the Department of Journalism. Journalism is one of four departments in the College of Communication. Photojournalism has been accredited as a sequence by the American Council On Education For Journalism (ACEJ) since 1975.
How to communicate with photography is the main concern of the photojournalism sequence. Students are introduced to the techniques and styles of photography for newspapers, magazines, public relations, advertising, general business and institutional use, long-term documentary work, as well as artistic and personal expression.
