Worcestershire LEA has developed an ICT benchmarking matrix (2001) which schools can use to locate their use of ICT in a number of key areas: strategic management; ICT within the curriculum; support for school leadership and management. There are four stages: initial, developmental, established and advanced. The aim is for schools to use the matrix as a mechanism to prepare detailed action plans for ICT as part of school self review.
