This unit addresses issues relating to the provision and use of public leisure facilities. It explores how decisions are made by a local community and the impact these have on different members of the local community. It examines the role and impact of law in the community and the duties of local authorities in respect of leisure provision and how issues of rights, responsibilities, fairness and the law interrelate.
