Anglo-Saxon village - lesson use
In early 2005, the Scheme launched its first interactive resource aimed at Key Stage 2 classes. This is a reconstructed Anglo-Saxon nuclear village, based upon two real sites in Britain. These are West Stow and Mucking; hence the name West Mucking! It was designed with the help of Dr Helen Geake, who can be seen as resident expert on Time Team for Anglo-Saxon England.

UK SoW: Primary History Unit 6B (Year 3/4)
http://www.standards.dfee.gov.uk/schemes/history/his6b?version=1
Why have people invaded and settled in Britain in the past? An Anglo-Saxon case study
In this unit, children are introduced to the idea that people from other societies have been coming to settle in Britain for a long time. Children find out about what was discovered at Sutton Hoo. By investigating the finds, children learn about the work of archaeologists and about the culture and way of life of Anglo-Saxons who settled in Britain.
