This is a reconstructed Anglo-Saxon nuclear village, based upon two real sites in Britain. These are West Stow and Mucking; hence the name West Mucking! It was designed with the help of Dr Helen Geake, who can be seen as resident expert on Time Team for Anglo-Saxon England. |
