  Ourselves to the World

Web Enquiries : Primary Geography
http://www.btinternet.com/~tonypickford/gg/webenq.htm
Questions posed by pupils (and teachers) are a vital part of locality-based enquiries in Primary Geography at Key Stages One and Two. The Web provides a means by which pupils can begin to find answers to questions about distant places independently. Below are a set of questions about localities based on National Curriculum requirements.

Connecting ourselves to the world

This is a 'continuous' unit, designed to be developed at various points through the key stage. It shows how information and communications technology (ICT) can be used to develop geographical skills and ideas. The unit offers a range of teaching ideas that can be selected and used with other units. In this example, the use of ICT has been linked with weather studies, but could equally well be linked to other units.
This particular unit offers links to literacy, mathematics and IT.
