Rover Ranch (NASA) : K-12 Experiments in Robotic Software
The ROVer Ranch learning activities are open to everyone without registering. If you'd like to use the robot simulations you need to register for an ID. When you register an ID and password, the ROVer Ranch software creates a workplace for you to store your robots, paths, scripts, and simulation information so they don't get lost or mixed up with someone else's robot work.

Robot Pets to help story telling
http://www.cs.umd.edu/hcil/kiddesign/pets.shtml
Since 1998, we have been developing robotic animals that enable children to be storytellers. With this robot, kids can build any animal they want by putting together special robotic animal parts such as paws, wings, and horns. After the animal is constructed, children can tell stories with the My PETS software, and give their robot emotions and behaviors.
Over the years there have been several versions of PETS. Ranging from a storytelling robot to a robot which mimics children's motions to a robot which can be used as a motivational tool for children with physical disabilities. The first prototype was created in the summer of 1998 and we have been working on new versions ever since.

Robots build bridges for science
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/education/2042513.stm
The government has announced an initiative to boost science education in schools, but many local initiatives are already up and running.
In the London Borough of Lewisham, pupils at six schools are getting the chance to build robots, styled on the BBC Technogames series, to get them more interested in science and technology.

Robots : 4 2 Explore
http://www.42explore.com/robots.htm
This web project provides "four to explore" for each topic.
On each page you'll find definitions, activities, 4 good starting points, and many more links and resources for the thematic topic.
In some cases, we've listed more than four websites on a particular topic. For example, we might provide a few for younger readers and others for more advanced learners.
Each school, classroom, and teacher is unique. As such we didn't try to provide specific activities for particular grade levels. Instead we suggest that teachers explore each link, then design specific, developmentally appropriate activities such as discussion questions, small group activities, or webquests to fit the needs of their curriculum.
The links on this site are safe for children.

Android World
http://www.androidworld.com/
This site is devoted to androids. An android is an anthropomorphic robot - i.e. a robot that looks like a human. Many android developers call their creations "humanoids" rather than androids. We also have robotics links, robot links, animatronics links, and research links.
