The Global Education Website is initiated and funded by AusAID to support its Global Education Program.
The objective of the Global Education Website is to increase the amount and quality of teaching of global education in Australian primary and secondary schools. The strategy of the project is to provide an Internet Site and curriculum material that is of high professional standard, is attractive, teacher friendly; and accessible.

Mizzima News was established in August 1998 by some Burmese journalists in exile with the aim of promoting awareness about Burma's current affairs and to promote democracy and freedom of expression in Burma through facilitating the flow of information, advocacy, and lobbying.
Over the years, Mizzima have expanded and have, through the use of email-updates, meetings, discussions, seminars and print and electronic mediums, covered more issues for more people. Mizzima News Group is striving to be a multi-media outlet and a forum for people interested in Burma.
Mizzima maintains a Head Office in Delhi, India and News Bureau in Chaing Mai, Thailand. Mizzima has a strong team of 30 paid employees including Burmese and foreign journalists reporting from five countries: Burma, India, Bangladesh, Thailand and China.
