The Candidate can:
  1. open a new database
  2. name and save the new database
  3. design database, use of files, records and fields
  4. insert data
  5. amend or delete data from records and files
  6. use search conditions to get required information
  7. use sort instructions for correct format
  8. change the look of the document by using different formats
  9. produce reports
  10. print out reports
  11. demonstrate knowledge of data collection/data capture
Distinction Level only:
  1. demonstrate understanding of relational databases
  2. demonstrate understanding of data analysis
  3. demonstrate understanding of distributed database systems
